Your adviser's disclosure guide
Each adviser has their own disclosure guide. It sets out the advice they can give, the lenders or insurers they work with, how they are paid (including commission), any fees, how they manage conflicts of interest, and their complaints process. Your adviser will also give you their guide before providing advice.

Fees and how we get paid
Our advice is generally free to you, because we usually receive commission from the lender or insurer you go with. In some situations a one-off fee may apply, for example if a lender or insurer requires commission to be repaid. Your adviser's disclosure guide explains exactly when a fee could apply and how much it would be.
Our duties
We are bound by the duties in the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. These include meeting the standards of competence, knowledge and skill in the Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services, giving priority to your interests, exercising care, diligence and skill, and meeting the standards of ethical behaviour, conduct and client care in the code.
